[:en]Affectionately known as the Goiás’ Capital of Faith, Trindade completes 97 years on August 31st. The city arose from devotion to the Divine Eternal Father and it has been growing every day since then. Throughout this time, it has received many demonstrations of love from its people. They do not conceal the satisfaction of residing in a place marked by faith, joy, and receptivity.

José Hermínio Lopes de Barros, who is 66 years old and retired, is part of this story. He is proud of accompanying the growth of the municipality. According to him, the city’s greatest advantage is the quality of life, something that he and his whole family deeply appreciate. “This town means a lot to me, there is no better place to live. I have started my own family, made a lot of friends and accomplished many things. My roots lie here and I intend to carry on if God permits,” he said.

Wholehearted Trindadians

The retiree Marina Pereira, who is 69 years old consider herself as a wholehearted Trindadian even though she is not born and raised in Trindade like José. She left Brasília (DF) eight years ago and moved to the city with the intention of staying even closer to the Eternal Father motivated by her profound devotion to Him. She had already been participating in the traditional Feast in Praise of the Divine Eternal Father for 20 years and kept a special affection for Trindade. After receiving the deliverance of a serious accident, she decided to live nearest to the Sanctuary. “I have always wanted to live on Constantino Xavier Avenue because it is close to all the churches. It was a tremendous joy when the Eternal Father presented me with a house in this place,” claimed the devotee.

Marina also remembers how much she was very well received by Trindadians and said she had made many friends: “I love this city and its people. Everyone was extremely warm and made me feel at home right at the first moment. I am deeply grateful for living in such enlightened place where the presence of the Divine Eternal Father is strong.”

As well as Marina, Mrs. Rosa de Castro has ceased to be only a visitor and, for 31 years, has been a resident of Trindade. “It has been 69 years living under the love of the Eternal Father and, after experiencing some difficulties, I left the City of Goiás believing that I would find here the support I needed,” said the retired lady.

In the daily challenges, Rosa feels protected for being close to the Father’s house and the graces that were already received. The devotee is confident that He never forsakes her. “This city brings me the peace I sought. Nowadays, I cannot imagine living elsewhere. It was the most right decision I have ever made,” she concluded.[:es]Cariñosamente conocida como la Capital de la Fe de Goiás, Trindade completa 97 años el 31 de agosto.
